Henry County Heritage Trust Presents: Chautauqua: Bringing Culture to Mount Pleasant by Grace Swank-Davis (VP of the Theatre Museum) at 2 p.m. at the Henry County Heritage Center Museum, 403 West Madison St. in Mt. New London Specialty Care Oct. 28 — Trunk or Treat
New London Specialty Care begins the Halloween season with a FANG-tastic Trunk or Treat event! Visit the Center from 12:30 — 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28. The residents look forward to seeing all the community families dressed for this fun holiday.
Ray’s Specialty Meats Oct. 28 — Trunk or Treat
Join a Spooktacular event at Ray’s noon to 4 p.m., Saturday October 28. There will be Face Painting, Hot Chocolate, Candy. Contact Jenny@Ray’s Meats to enter your trunk
New London Churches Oct. 31 — Trunk or Treat
At the New London City Park, the traditional Trunk or Treat held by the Presbyterian, Methodist and Christian Churches opens at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 31. The trunks will be available
VFW Auxiliary — Trunk or Treat
VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary Trunk or Treat will be held in the post parking lot Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. Fingerprinting for children will be offered for those who wish to do so.
Citywide House to House — Trick-or-treat
As directed by the City Council, house to house trick-or-treat hours are Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m.
Blood Drive New London High School — Nov. 1
IMPACTLIFE will hold a Double Point Blood Drive at New London High School Gymnasium Nov. 1, from 7:30 — 11:30 a.m. Contact Cory Reid at the New London High School. This is a National Honor Society sponsored event. Plan to donate.
FALL BACK — Daylight Savings Change — Nov. 5
Before going to bed Saturday night, change your clocks. Fall back one hour and get an extra hour’s sleep.
VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary hosts Veterans Brunch Nov. 5
VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary will host a Veterans Brunch from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 802 East McKinley in New London. A free will donation will be taken for an area Veterans project Menu includes grilled pork loin, cheesy potatoes, green beans, egg casseroles, pastries, fruit & biscuits and gravy.
