New London Community Children’s Easter Egg Hunt
New London Specialty Care is hosting the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on March 16 at 10 a.m. This traditional event is a free day of fun for New London’s children. These special holidays bring the community and the residents together to share in the meaning of the holidays and the excitement of young people.
Blood Drive to be held March 20 in MS/HS Lorber Gymnasium
Beginning at 7 a.m., Wednesday, March 20. Please plan to donate blood if at all possible. Many products are made from these donations. Transfusion is not the only use for this vital medical unit. The blood drive is sponsored by the National Honor Society.
National Honor Society Induction Ceremony March 20
The NHS 2024 Annual Induction Ceremony will be held in the Auditorium Wednesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m.
New London Dollars for Scholars 2024 Auction
Saturday, March 23 is the date of the Dollars for Scholars Auction and fundraiser. This important community group raises money and awards scholarships for New London graduates. From 5—7 p.m. a Free Will Donation meal provided by the New London Foods and Nutrition Class will be served in the Charles Lorber Gymnasium. At 6 p the auction begins. Visit the Facebook page New London, Iowa-Dollars for Scholars to view the many items offered. The New London branch of Danville State Savings Band also has items to view. Don’t miss this important event.
Danville Community Palm Sunday Service March 24
Begin planning for Easter activities. Danville churches will hold their annual Community Palm Sunday Service at 630 pm March 24 at Danville Congregational UCC, 105 East Michigan. Pastor David Mixon of Long Creek Methodist will bring the message. The special love offering will benefit the Danville Food Outreach account. A community choir will present special music with Nancy Edmisson as director.
NLCSD Public Forum — 4 day School Week
The Public Forum was livestreamed and a video produced. This video is now available as a YouTube link. The 4-day site is now linked to the school site: https://sites.google.com/nlcsd.org/nlcsdfourdayschoolweek/home. The information links and the survey for parents, teachers, support staff, and community members are also available. Students will be surveyed next week. Paper copies of the surveys are also available at the elementary, high school and administrative offices. Please keep in mind that the district is simply collecting information at this point in time.

Tiger Pantry is open Thursdays, 3:30 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9-11 a.m.
