Henry County Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help build the 31st home, located at 400 East Henry in Mt. Pleasant. They build exclusively on Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Dover Historical Society meeting Friday, April 26

The monthly meeting of the Dover Historical Society will be held Friday, April 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the museum. It is time to discuss summer plans and sign up for visitor duty on weekends. All members are invited to attend as your input is welcome.

New London to hold Community Day April 26

Do you need help with those pesky spring chores? April 26 is the annual community day. Students are available for yard work, painting, cleaning windows, and miscellaneous chores. Call Kim Wagner at 319-367-0500 or email her at kim.wagner@nlcsd.org to get on the list. NO JOBS INVOLVING POWER TOOLS are permitted. All trash will stay at the residence to be picked up on normal city route days. Don’t miss this chance to spruce up the community and allow the students to say Thank You.

New London Tiger Trap Shooting to hold Leather Tournament April 27

On Saturday, April 27 at 8 a.m. New London Tiger Shooting Team will hold a Leather Tournament at Aim High. All teams are welcome at this event. Prizes will be awarded in all classes.

New London Utility Trustees will meet Friday, May 3

The regular meeting of the New London Utility Board will be held Friday, May 3 at 1 pm at the City office. The meeting is open to the public.

Henry County Conservation Department – Outdoor Movie Night May 3

Join the Henry County Conservation Department for Outdoor Movie Night at 7:30pm, 2593 Nature Center Drive. Bring the whole family to an outdoor screen! The movie will be decided by Facebook vote, rated G or PG. Bring your own chairs and blankets.
