Veterans Day Observance at New London MS/HS Gym Nov. 10
At 9:30 Friday, Nov. 10 in the Lorber Gymnasium, the New London School District will honor local veterans. All veterans and community members are invited to join the K-12 students and staff in this important observance of Veterans Day. All veterans and spouses are invite for refreshments beginning at 8:45 in the Commons.
‘You Go, Goddess!’ shows Nov. 10-11
The Performing Arts Theater Group at New London MS/HS will perform three shows. Friday night Nov. 10 at 7 p.m., Saturday Matinee at 2 p.m., Saturday night at 7 p.m. This hilarious adaptation of Greek mythology features girl power in the guise of Calliope. Hercules’ daughter, shy and socially awkward becomes the hero, saves her father and humanity. Don’t miss every action-packed moment of this fun play.
Veterans Day Community Sponsored Event Nov. 11
Join The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, New London Police Department and VFW Auxiliary at the New London MS/HS Gymnasium from 1-3 p.m. Child identification kits and handouts for kids and parents will be available. A free lunch in the gym lobby is available as well. Weather permitting, patrol vehicles will be available for kids to observe.
VFW Post 7641 and Auxiliary host Veterans Day Observance Nov. 11
VFW Post 7641 and the Auxiliary will host a Veterans Day Observance Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Post home, 802 East McKinley. The Auxiliary will serve light refreshments following the service.
Henry County Pleasant Grove Cemetery annual meeting — Nov. 14

Dover Monthly Board Meeting Nov. 17
Friday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m., Dover Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting. It is a week early because of the Thanksgiving holiday. It is an important meeting as final plans for the Holiday Stroll will be discussed. All members are welcome.
Twelfth Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Plans Underway Nov. 23
The twelfth Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at Clark Elementary School Cafeteria on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23 from 11:30 to 1:00. Monetary donations are welcome. If you wish to donate food, rolls and desserts are appropriate. Volunteers to serve and deliver meals to homes are needed as well.
