July 26 — RAGBRAI Concert

Enjoy some wonderful music at the Symphonic Blast RAGBRAI Concert by the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra! It will take place at the former Iowa Wesleyan Chapel in Mount Pleasant.

July 26 — County Recorder’s Office

The Henry County Recorder’s Office will be closed for training purposes. The office will reopen on Monday, July 29 a.m.

July 27 — New London Summer Fun Day

The second annual SUMMER FUN DAY in New London, Iowa, today kicks off with a parade at 11 a.m. Following features are 12 p.m. Park Lunch, Noon — 2 p.m. Car Show, Free Games all afternoon, 4 p.m. Bag Tournament. A Street Dance at 8 p.m. ends the festivities.

July 27 — End of Library Reading Program

This is the last day of the Summer Reading Program. Turn in your Reading Logs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

July 29 — Lions 50 Year Anniversary Celebration

Join the New London Lions Club for a 50th Anniversary Open House at the New London Community Building from 6 — 7:30 p.m. This group supports many community activities. A huge thank you is due to all its hard working members.

July 29 — First Day of the Vacation Bible School in Danville

Today is the first day for the “5 Day Club” at the Danville Community Building in Danville from 10 a.m. — 11:30 a.m. Boys & girls, ages 5-12 are invited to 90 minutes of games, songs, fun activities and Bible lessons. July 30 — Henry County Naturalist visits New London Library

Kendall, Henry County Naturalist, will visit the New London Library from 1 — 2 p.m. She will be sharing her knowledge of the cicadas and their periodical brood emergence.
