May 9: District Carnival
5-8 p.m. The PTO is sponsoring the District Clark Carnival again this year. This popular event contains many activities for families and friends to enjoy. Food Trucks’ Games, Prizes, Wagon Rides, Obstacle Course, Rock Wall/Slide, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, and Slushies are all in the plan. Cost $5 per individual or $20 per family
May 10: Henry County Heritage Center rd Sales
2 p.m. Tyler Sullivan will be presenting “Iowa Scenic Views by Foot” at the Heritage Center Museum., 203 N. White Street., Mount Pleasant. An Iowa City native, Tyler travels around the state. His goal is to visit all 99 counties and hundreds of museums. Tyler runs at least a mile in the cities across Iowa. He posts pictures from his journey and works on writing a poem for every county. The program is free. Donations are appreciated. The Museum is also open for visitors 1-4 p.m. on Saturdays. Questions: 319-217-6042
May 12 & 13: U.S. Service Academy virtual information meeting
6-8 p.m. Iowa students and their families who are interested in attending West Point, the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy as well as other service colleges are invited to join Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst as they present a Virtual Information Night. It is necessary that students RSVP to receive the link to join the meeting. Please contact Sen. Grassley’s office at academy_nominations@grassley.senate.gov or call Sen. May 13: New London High School 2025 Senior Spotlight
Noon 2025 Seniors and Parents/Guardians are invited to the luncheon at in the high school gymnasium at noon. The luncheon is followed by the Senior Awards Ceremony in the auditorium at 1 p.m. All community and family are welcome to come to the ceremony in the afternoon, where our MS/HS student body will also be in attendance.
May 14: Lee County Fairgrounds, Donnellson, Iowa is hosting FARM FIELD DAY
9 a.m. — 6 p.m. This a free event, open to the public and is packed full of interactive and educational activities. Touch and feed animals, planting, hand milk a cow, games and so much more! “Zoo to You” will feature two live presentations at 11:30 a.m. & 12:15 p.m. If you have a group of over 10 people, please RSVP to 319-470-4456 to navigate through the activities!
May 18: New London Class of 2025 Commencement
2 p.m. The New London Class of 2025, its parents, guardians and friends will gather in the High School Gymnasium. The students are looking forward to this important day and implementing their plans for the future.

Tiger Pantry hours are Thursday 4-6 p.m., Saturday 9-11 a.m.
