Sept. 11: Last Day to RSVP for Prediabetes Class

1-2 p.m. Monday, September 15 Henry County Health Center is hosting a FREE Prediabetes Class Suite 25. This educational session is to help prevent the development of type 2 diabetes.

Sept. 12: Henry County Conservation hosts Monarch Migration Day

4:30-6 p.m. Friday, September 12 a Monarch Migration Day workshop will be held at the Oakland Mills Nature Center. Learn how to put a tag on a butterfly which tracks them during their migration to Mexico. Bring your bug net if you have one and dress for the outdoors. Pre-registration is appreciated by not required.

Sept. 16: Henry County Conservation Wine Walk in the Woods

6-7 p.m. The Oakland Mills Nature Center invites you to support local businesses and explore the autumn beauty of Oakland Mills with “Wine Walk in the Woods. Vendors will share their favorite drink and ambassador animals from the Nature Center will be nearby. This event for over 21 years of age. The suggested donation is $5/person and the event is weather dependent. This fundraising event supports many educational activities at the Center.
