Apr. 27, 2023 12:24 pm
Ines comes to NLHS as a foreign exchange student from France. Her American parents for the school year have been Kevin and Lindsay Wesely.
Ines was born November 10, 2004 to Francis Veschembes and Celine Doyharcabal. She was later joined by “little” brother Gorka. Her grandparents are Anne-Marie and Jean-Pierre Veschembes and Rose and Jean-Marie Doyharcabal.
Although she has only been at New London for this school year, she has been busy. When not doing school work, she has participated in football and wrestling cheerleading, the plays, and speech. Her favorite hobby is handball.
Her most special moment was her first football game as a cheerleader. She says of the experience. “I felt like I was living in a movie.” Her most embarrassing moment was when she realized that rubber didn’t mean eraser as she had been told all of her life.
She chose her host parents for special recognition. Ines says of Kevin and Lindsay “without them I wouldn’t be here.”
Although only being here a short time, she makes this observation about her class, “They are very welcoming.” Ines gives the underclassmen the following advice: Follow your dreams.
Ines enjoyed prom and is looking forward to graduation. At the end of the school year, she will return to France for college.
Tiger Nation hopes Ines has enjoyed her time in Iowa and wishes her the best as she returns to France. Nous vous souhaitons une bonne vie!
