After making the long trek to Moravia, the Tiger faithful were treated to an exciting night of football. Quarterback Kellan Porter started the evening with a rushing touchdown with Kendall Connelly running in the 2-point conversion.
After Johnathan Gallup’s interception, the young Tigers were on the move, making it 16-0.
Again Moravia turned it over on a fumble recovery by Cole Swanson. Connelly scored, making it 22-0. The Tigers would score again on a rush by Porter before Moravia scored twice. Connelly scored again before halftime, taking a 34-12 lead into the locker room.
Moravia scored early in the second half making it 34-20. With another TD by Connelly and three more by Porter, the game ended with a 70-40 victory for the Tigers.
Defensively, Cole Swanson had a monster night with double-digit tackles and a fumble recovery. Tucker Syfert had five tackles, Porter added four with a fumble recovery and an interception. Connelly, Gallup, and Tucker Larkins each had four, Liam Garvey and Zander Amburn each had three, and Reed Lindsey added two and also broke up two passes.
It was a fun victory for the team and made the ride seem not so long!
