Josie Katherine Bain was born on a warm summer day, June 13, 2005, to Bret Bain and Katrina Bain. She joined siblings Max and Anna Graf and would later welcome her younger brother, Sully Bain. Her grandparents are the late Ed Lanferman, Karen Piper, and Chet and Jan Bain.
Josie, often called Jo, joined the Class of 2023 in kindergarten. She participates in the performing arts. Her interests outside of school are music, animals, and fashion. She also works as a custodian at the school.
Josie’s proudest moment was pushing past her stage fright and social anxiety to perform in a play. She says of her most embarrassing moments: there are way too many to count.
When asked what’s special about the Class of 2023, Josie points out that her class has some really talented kids. Her advice to the underclassmen is “don’t sweat high school, have a good time.”
She picked fellow custodian Curt Yetter to recognize. This is because he’s wise, funny, and gives good advice. Josie also singles out classmate Vegas Watson because he’s always there to make her laugh.
Josie is looking forward to graduation and turning her life into something enjoyable.
Tiger Nation wishes Josie the best as she leaves the halls of NLHS and embarks on her next life’s adventure.
