Junior high football season starts

The combined talent of the 7th and 8th boys brought home an opening victory for the JH squad. They beat the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves, 54 - 36.

The Wolves scored early, returning the opening kick-off but failing on the two-point conversion to take a 6-0 lead. The Tigers came right back on a rushing TD by QB Kellan Porter and a successful two-point conversion. The Tigers never trailed again.

Others scoring TDs were Kendall Connelly, Owen Severson, and Dylan Burden. Tucker Larkins had a two-point conversion.

The defense was led by Cole Swanson, Liam Garvey, and Riley Merschman. It was a total team effort with everyone doing their job to the best of their ability. Next up for the Tigers…the WACO Warriors.
