The Danville-New London cross country team ran at the Mt. Pleasant meet on 9/19. The boys’ individual finishes include:

•Natan Bergman — 7th @ 13:31.

•Jaece Deterding — 11th @ 13:43.

•Paislee Owens — 13th @ 14:08.

•Zayden Lawrence — 46th @ 16:30.

•Bentley Wright — 47th @ 16:39.

•Jayden Wagner — 70th @ 22:40

The girls’ results include:

•Irelynn Kelly — 11th @ 16:02.

•Bella Parker — 35th @ 22:51.

The JH Volleyball season is underway. The 7th grade team members are Kylie Wagner, Sophie Smith, Jaylynn Hopping, Bella Parker, Lilly Coffin, Makenna Jacobsmeier, Camille Addun, Nevaeh Mincks, Blake Connor, Sophia May, Emily Miller, Taryn Brown, Riley McPherson, and Maxine Haynes. These girls played Danville on 9/21. The scores were New London — 7, 5, 15 to Danville — 21, 21, 9.

The 8th grade team members are Hailey Deterding, Olivia Romer, Evie Adams, Ruby Myers, Khloe Upton, Maison Nelson, and Kaiya Wintermeyer.

Deterding had three service aces, three kills, and three assists. Adams served two aces, while Myers had three kills. Nelson served six aces and had four kills. The scores were New London 21, 21, 9 to Danville — 10, 17, 15.

The JH football team plays their first game on Monday 9/25 at home against the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Will have scores next week. Go Tigers!
