Mar. 30, 2023 1:01 pm, Updated: Apr. 19, 2023 12:18 pm
On July 11, 2004, Kaitlyn Lee entered this world. She was the first daughter of Jens and Denise Lee. Kaitlyn was later joined by sister Megan, 15. Her grandparents, Jack and Marilyn Vincent and Keith and Gertrude Lee, welcomed her too.
She has been a member of the Class of 2023 since preschool. This honor roll student is a member of National Honor Society and student council. She has participated in band, softball, track, basketball, 4-H, the fall play, and Sweet Sixteen.
When not busy at school, Kaitlyn likes volunteering, shopping, and spending time with friends.
Kaitlyn was honored to be the 2021 Miss Sweet Seventeen first runner-up. She also had a perfect fielding average during her junior year of softball.
Making over 1,000 face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic is Kaitlyn’s proudest moment. Her most embarrassing is slipping down a muddy hill and being covered with mud for the duration of a track meet.
When asked what’s special about her class, she singles out that so many of them have been together since kindergarten.
Kaitlyn picks her parents as the people she would like to recognize. They have always supported her in everything she’s done.
Her advice to the underclassmen: “walk on the right side of the hallway … please and thank you!”
Kaitlyn is looking forward to her last high school softball season. Her future plans are to attend Mount Mercy University and major in elementary education. She also plans to participate in their concert band.
Tiger Nation will be watching Kaitlyn’s senior softball season … good luck! They also wish her the best at Mount Mercy … She will make New London proud!
