Little Shoppers buy Christmas gifts for their loved ones

The Holiday Stroll Committee sponsors a Little Shoppers event the Saturday before the Stroll. By collecting donations from many community members and businesses, items for all ages and genders are available. Items range in cost from a quarter to $5. The committee and its volunteers get everything organized and displayed. Elves are there to help little shoppers.

One can see how difficult the decisions are for the little ones. There is so much to choose from. Another group of volunteers is available to wrap gifts after they are selected. Parents, guardians, grandparents, and loved ones are relegated to the library or hallway. This makes sure their gifts are surprises on Christmas morning.

Hot chocolate and a bake sale are available while they wait. It is also fun to visit with each other and relief can be seen on many a father’s face. Taking little ones Christmas shopping can be a real challenge. This exciting event is also a marvelous service.
