Dr. Perry J. Haist has opened a new dental office in the Iowa State Bank. He is a graduate of the dental college at the University of Iowa, he has practiced two years, and he is a World War II veteran.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Patterson are expecting their son, Pfc. Roger Patterson, a member of the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, California, to arrive home this morning. He left there Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Piper called on his mother in the afternoon thus making all five sons present except Rev. Edward Piper, Prattsburg, NY.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanks observed their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 30. Helen Young and Clarence Hanks were married at the New London Methodist Church in 1935.

Mr. and Mrs. Stan Walgren were in town Tuesday. They are former residents but now live in Wapello.
Kevin Cole, who was injured in an auto accident on old Highway 34 east of town, is in room 314 in the Burlington Memorial hospital.
Jim Alden, who also suffered injuries from the same accident, was released from the hospital.
