Mrs. Ralph Miller held a miscellaneous shower honoring Joan McClure who is soon to become the bride of Glen DeSpain.
E. E. Denny brought a turnip to the Journal office that weighed 5 ¼ pounds. It was right out of his garden and it\ was a whooper!
Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Pennebaker received a message from the government that their son, Pfc. John Pennebaker’s body will arrive from Italy. He was killed in action on April 29, 1945.
This week at the Alamo: “Homecoming” starring Clark Gable and Lana Turner and “Alias A Gentleman” starring Tom Drake.
