While playing football at the Hanson home, Benny Hilliard, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hilliard, broke his leg. He was first taken to Burlington Hospital and then to Iowa City for further treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Burkhart, Sara Jane and Shirley, spent the weekend with the Kenneth Moore family in Farmington.

Clair Dunbar, 67, unexpectedly died while at work at the E. G. Staats Co. on December 26. He leaves behind two sons and four daughters, including Christie at home.
