•Members of Bonae Amicae Club will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Helen Bishop. Mrs. Ruth Peterson will assist.
•New London Lassies 4-H Club will meet on April 17. The following program is planned: Shampooing and Pin Curls - Marilyn Wright and Yvonne Smith; Care of Fingernails - Shirley Brandmeyer and Mariam Anderson; Hairstyling - Leona Prehm and Janet Warth; and Care of Skin - Waunita Smith.
•Committees for Junior-Senior Banquet: Executive Committee - Gail Mayberry, Mary Ann Hanson, Sadie Ball, Janet and Jean Edwards.
•This week at the Alamo: “Desert Fury” starring Burt Lancaster and “The Trouble with Women” starring Ray Milland and Teresa Wright. WHO Radio Stars, Dixie Boy Jordan and Zelda will be at the Alamo in person on April 22.

•IWC teacher education students from this area have been assigned their schools: Evan Miller, Social Studies at Mt. Pleasant school.
•Terry White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul White, has been selected as an Outstanding College Athlete of America for 1973. He attends Parsons College.
•June George and Robert Hansen were married April 14.

•Don and John Blow presented the New London School with the gift of installation of and material costs for air conditioning of the school cafeteria in memory of their wife and mother, Marion. She was a long-time employee of the District, working in the cafeteria.

•Brad Helmerson, by a unanimous vote, was hired as the Tiger Head Football Coach.

•It’s Shelby Buchholz 18th birthday.
•Jane Edwards, Paducah, Kentucky, spent a few days last week with her mother, Ruth Piper and family.
•April 18 marks the one year passing of Hal Piper.
