The American Legion post 203 elected Arthur Morrow as Commander.
Mrs. Ralph DeSpain entertained on Wednesday for Rita Jolene’s seventh birthday. Attending the party were Claudia Young, Sara Burkhart, Billy Shipley, Frances Ibbotson, Joyce Stewart, Jimmy Little, Sharon Angstead, Dorothy Peterson, Billy Kannegiesser, and sisters Annette and Sonja.
Mrs. Ralph Eckles visited over the weekend with her daughter Dorothy in Chicago.

Sixteen members of the American Legion and Auxiliary observed Armistice Day Monday, Nov. 11 with a buffet dinner at the New London Hall.

Berdita Hibbs and Mike Westerbeck were elected to the city council, and Danny Cornell was returned to mayor.
