Thinking about your reading career, how many of the books offered do you remember? There are the books about Volcanoes and Earthquakes, Charlotte’s Web and the “yawner” science encyclopedia explaining how Saturn got its rings. Chances are the book you were waiting for the teacher to hand you was the latest book from the Goosebumps series. This series is one of the bestselling of all time. In fact, the 2003 Guinness World Records named it just that! All the spine-tingling creatures from the marvelous myths are in them, living inviting adventures and mysteries.
The upcoming musical was originally commissioned by the First Stage Children’s Theater and Oregon Children’s Theatre premiered; it was a welcome treat for kids of all ages. Ghost stories fascinate everyone. What is nice about them, they give a good scare, but we know we aren’t actually at risk. While there are a few tense moments, it is not forbidding. All the characters have personal idiosyncrasies that keep the mood silly and fun.
Performances are 7 p.m. March 1, with a 2 p.m. Matinee March 2 and a closing performance at 7 p.m. March 2. Enjoy Zeke, whose drama geek character relishes his “Phantom” role until it appears that there really is a phantom.
Please! No SCREAMING Inside the Theater!
