Mason James Shelledy

Mason James Shelledy made his appearance in this world on October 25, 2004. Jeff and Tina Shelledy are his proud parents, and he joined sibling Bailey. His delighted grandparents are Chris and Harold Smith.

Called Shelly by friends, Mason has been a Tiger for four years. When not busy with schoolwork, he has participated in basketball and golf. Mason played AAU basketball with ID Hoops Basketball which he founded and developed and traveling golf.

Golf has provided Mason with both his highs and lows. His special moment was placing 3rd at conference golf. His low was scoring 121 at the second round of District golf.

He singled out Richie Logsdon, his old basketball coach, for special recognition. He helped Mason realize what was best for his future and what sport to focus on in his last year in high school.

As he gets ready to leave NLHS, the advice he gives to the underclassmen is to “focus in class.”

Mason is happy that it’s golf season. He had planned on attending Iowa Wesleyan University with a golf scholarship, but due to IWU’s untimely demise, his plans have changed. He will attend SCC on a golf scholarship. He plans to get his Associates degree in accounting and transfer to a four-year school in the South to obtain his CPA.
