Middle School Track Starts Season
By Virginia Ekstrand
Apr. 8, 2024 11:34 pm
Coaches Shane Barron and Bridget Swailes are pleased with the Tigers performance at the Danville Co-ed Relays on April. 5. The boys’ team has 19 out and the girls’ team numbers 12.
Coach Barron provided some insights, “The first track meet is always tough, especially for seventh graders. They don't know anything about hip numbers, when to check in, etc. Sometimes this is the first sporting event that they have chosen to participate in. There were a lot of nerves early, but by the end of the meet, they were starting to get the hang of it. We may have established two school records for middle school in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team and the 4X400." The boys, as a team, finished second.
