On May 8 at approximately 8:57 a.m., Des Moines County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 16400 Jimtown Road for a domestic disturbance.
According to a news release from the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, deputies learned that the suspect, Curtis Yetter, 60, of New London had threatened to kill the victim.
Yetter left the residence operating a green motorcycle prior to deputies’ arrival. Deputies located Yetter on the green motorcycle near the intersection of E. Main Road and Racine Avenue in New London and attempted to stop him.

Yetter was placed under arrest and transported to the Des Moines County Correctional Center and charged with speeding, fail to obey stop sign, no valid driver’s license, eluding(felony), and domestic abuse assault (aggravated).
While at the Des Moines County Correctional Center, Yetter was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged additionally with possession of a controlled substance and possession of contraband in a correctional facility.
