New London sports roundup

The Mt. Pleasant Panthers played the Fairfield Trojans on Monday, April 17. Elly Manning started the scoring for the Panthers. The Mt. Pleasant team won the match 5-0. They are now 4-2 on the season.

Boys Soccer

The Danville-New London Boys Soccer Team beat Highland at home on April 20. It was a 4-0 shutout for the Bears. Talan Whaley scored two goals and Jacob Miller and Trevor Yaley each had a goal; Colin Pealer had two assists, while Simon Cooper and Miller each had one assist. Aiden Konig had two saves.

Girls Golf

The Tigers played Holy Trinity at Deerwood on April 18. It was NL - 176/Holy Trinity - NS. Taylor Phillips shot a 1-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors. Other scores were Sophie Malott carded a 42, followed by Emma Nye (46), Emma Busby (51), Stevey Wintermeyer (52) and Katelyn Allen (64).

Boys Golf

The boys also played Holy Trinity on April 18. The Tigers won big, 193 to 242. Mason Shelledy shot a 42 to lead the Tigers to victory. Other Tiger scores were Wyatt Miller with a 47, followed by Weston Miller (51), Sully Barron (53), Coen Fitzpatrick (54) and Memphis Watson (55).

Girls Track

The Tiger girls participated in the Panther Relays on April 18. As a team they finished 10th with 10 points. Individual events that placed:
