Saturday, Feb. 1, the Tiger Shooting Sports Team will hold its annual Banquet and Fundraiser. The event is being held at the VFW in Mount Pleasant. Social time begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Plan to attend and learn about this fast-growing national sport. The food is great and the conversation compelling. The team members are everywhere helping their coaches and sponsors produce this important event. The money raised is used to cover as many of the expenses as possible. The funds help offset the cost of ammunition, practices, tournaments and registration fees. Every effort is made to keep costs low so that every student who wishes to participate may do so.
The banquet is just one month away. Banquet tickets are $25. The dinner offers 2 meats, 2 sides, rolls and dessert. Volunteers are needed to help with the banquet. Raffle tickets are $20. As of this date two guns listed in the early raffle. Raffle 1 — RUGER AR 556 MPR 5.56 American Flag and Raffle 2 — COLT 357 Python pistol 6”
John Smyth is asking for help from businesses as well as individuals. Items are needed for the live and silent auctions. Gun sponsors contributing $250 or more will be promoted at the banquet. Their logo will also be displayed on the team trap trailer. Gun sponsors contributing $700 or more will receive 8 meal tickets, their logo on the trailer, and have a table reserved in their name and an item showing our appreciation. Monetary donations are also welcome. Please call John if you have ideas for other sponsorship opportunities. 319-931-6673.
