New London Tiger Wrestling hosts golf fundraiser

September 7 arrived with cool sunny weather. There was a surge of last minute registrations which ensured the success of the fundraiser. The Wrestling Boosters were off and running providing a terrific experience for the golfers. The silent auction area was filled with items. Deerwood did their usual outstanding job of hosting the event.

After a short meeting at 9 a.m., the teams lined up for a shotgun start. Good natured competition and fun followed the teams around the course. After the tournament completed, many of the winners donated their winnings back to the wrestling program.

All in all, it was a great day!! Cully Brumwell and Drew Kelly, organizers of the event, thank all who participated. Wrestling season is just around the corner and the Boosters will be ready to help the team and program. They give special thanks to whoever was in charge of the weather because it was perfect.
