The only game left in town is JH Boys Basketball, but their season is winding down too, as these boys have only two games left,

VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL
The Tigers tried, but in the end experience and height won out. The Winfield — Mt. Union Wolves won 70 — 37 … a little revenge from when the Tigers knocked them out of post season play last year.
The Tigers scored in single digits in three of the four quarters and were stymied at every turn. In the last game of the season for the Tigers, Brigham Porter led the Tigers with 13 points. London Franklin added eight and pulled down six rebounds. Carter Benjamin and Tate Welcher each had six. Memphis Watson and Brendan Richey each added two. The Tigers finished their season with a 5-17 record.
VARSITY WRESTLING
Gage Burden was the lone Tiger qualifying for the State wrestling tournament. Wrestling at 126 lbs., he won his first round over Jordan Smith of Oakland Riverside by a 9-8 final decision. In the second round, he faced Jaxon Larson from Don Bosco. Gage lost by a 7-1 decision. Gage then went to the consolation bracket with his match against Brody Kleitsch. Gage went 1-1 on the day with an 8-2 decision over Kleitsch. But a major decision loss to Payton Harger of Earlham ended his tournament run. What a great season … congratulations Gage!!!
Also a shoutout to Mark Chiri for his induction into the Hall of Fame. Your numbers were truly remarkable … a well-deserved honor!!!
That’s a wrap for the winter sports. All our athletes look forward to track, softball and baseball, and warmer weather (fingers crossed.) As always … go Tigers.
