NLHS Tiger sports wrap-up

The summer sports season finished up on Wednesday, July 5. Both softball and baseball always seems very intense and this year was no different.

The Tigers bowed out at the hands of the Notre Dame Nikes. The game score was 12-0 in an unexpected home game. A hard way to end the season, but improvement was evident all season. The boys have a bright future as they will lose lone senior, Vegas Watson.

It just wasn’t the Tigers’ night as they had only two hits from Memphis Watson and Cale Westerbeck and battled through six errors in four innings. Kye Reighard and Brendan Richey pitched with Brendan taking the loss.

It was a learning season, and the Tigers, who finished with an 8-15 record, will be ready to go when May comes around again.
