Preserve your right to vote

In his latest “Pate Report” as well as in a Media Release, Secretary of State Paul Pate has issued the following notice. If you did not vote in the 2022 general election your status has been inactive. This action is required by law and occurs in the odd number years during the First Quarter Those voters who have been made inactive will receive a notice in the mail to confirm their residential address. Those voters who do not return the post card will remain as inactive. The card is clearly marked NO ACTIVITY and is not junk mail. All that is necessary is to check the appropriate box, sign their name and drop the postcard in the mail.
The purpose of this activity is to keep the This to keep the voter rolls up-to-date and accurate. If the voter no longer llives at the address, the current resident should just tear up the post card and discard it. It is important to respond quickly. 2024 is an important election year. The next President and many top official positons are filled in the election.
Pate notes that registered voters made inactive through the list maintenance process can return themselves to active status by requesting an absentee ballot, voting in an election, submitting a new registration, or updating their voter registration prior to the end of 2026 general election cycle.
