Senior Spotlight: Brooklyn Curry

Brooklyn Lucille Curry was born on May 16, 2006. Her parents are Braydon and Jessica Curry, and she has a younger brother Owen. Her grandparents are Carol and William Curry and Sue and Dave Buck.
She started school here 13 years ago, which makes her a “lifer” in the Class of 2024. In high school, Brooklyn has participated in basketball and track. She was really looking forward to her senior year of track. In her spare time, she likes to run, hang out with friends, and play pickleball.
Being on both the varsity track and basketball teams, she has lettered in both. She was a member of the 2023 Homecoming Court.
Brooklyn’s most special memory is when the basketball team won a game this season, their first victory in three years.
Her most embarrassing moment deals with a pie eating contest at Homecoming time. Since no one else would volunteer, Brooklyn did and confidently predicted a win…but she lost.
She picked her mom as her special person because she’s been by Brooklyn’s side through everything. She also gave a nod to Kayla Strawhacker, her best friend. She been there through thick and thin and has never given up on Brooklyn when she was going through tough times.
Brooklyn says of her class, “We are very comfortable with each other but sometimes we have a love/hate relationship.” Her advice to the underclassmen is that high school goes by fast so don’t take it for granted. Do the fun things and participate in everything possible.
Brooklyn’s future plans are to attend SCC and major in psychology.
Tiger Nation wishes Brooklyn every success as she starts her next big life adventure!
