A few days into the new year of 2007, Colin Douglas Pealer made his entrance into this world, on Jan. 3 to be exact. He was the second son born to Nicole and Eric Pealer. He joined big brother Aidan who is now 21. Grandma Pamela Pealer was also thrilled with her new grandson.
He started school at New London and was an original member of the Class of 2025. He has participated in soccer, both high school and club. He has also played football, been in band, and been a member of the student council. Colin was also a member of the 2024 Homecoming court.
He was second team all-conference in soccer his freshman year and first team all-conference his sophomore year. He junior year, Colin was conference player of the year and All-Hawk Eye player of the year. As one might guess, Colin can’t wait for his senior soccer season.
When not busy at school, Colin, nicknamed Coco, can be found playing soccer, going to the gym, or going on walks.
Colin’s most special high school memory came on the soccer field. In his junior season, the team had a foreign exchange student from Brazil playing with them named Kadu. With him and all of his teammates from Danville, they fought hard and had an 11-win season.
Colin’s most disappointing moments were losing to his friends and Mepo twice to end the 2024 soccer season.
When asked what is special about his class, he says they have the ability to make anything fun. Colin’s advice to the underclassmen is to make sure to have fun outside of school, but to also keep the grades up.
As his most special persons, Colin chose his parents. He says of them, “I chose them because they have been my biggest supporters my whole life no matter what I do. My dad has also been my soccer coach my whole life, regardless of whether it has been club or school soccer. I must also include my brother Aidan for giving me tips and advice to get through school.”
As the school year winds down, Colin has signed with SCC to play soccer. He will major in criminal justice.
Tiger Nation wishes Colin all the best as he leaves NLHS. We will be watching the SCC soccer team to keep up with this rising star! Go get ‘em Colin!
