By Gina Andreson
May. 9, 2024 12:00 am
Emma was born on November, 17, 2005 to Angela and Eric Shipley and Chad Henry. She joined her siblings Hunter Shipley, Taylor Fuller, Elise Henry, and Easton Shipley. Her grandmother is Sue Getzen.
Emma has only been with the Class of 2024 for two years. She has participated in Cheer and is a member of NHS. When not busy at school, Emma loves to spend time with friends and family. She is also interested in opening a business. Emma was Cheer captain and helped with the Tiger mural outside the library.
She has made a lot of great memories on the Cheer team, but her favorite was stopping at Crumble Cookie after an away game. Emma’s most embarrassing memory was when she spilled paint in art class.
Emma picked her mom for special recognition. Of her she says, “I would like to thank my mom for helping me get to where I am today, She has guided me through all of school. I can never thank her enough.”
When asked what’s special about her class, she said that even though she has only been a member for two years, she is very grateful to graduate with this class. Emma’s advice to the underclassmen is to just get it over with because it will be worth it.
Emma was looking forward to prom and with prom over, she is looking forward to graduation.
Her future plans are ambitious. Her plans are to attend SCC to complete her AA degree while she attends cosmetology school. She then wants to attend a four-year school to major in business in order to open her own business.
Tiger Nation wishes Emma every success! Go get ‘em Emma!
