On a warm June day, June 5, 2007 to be exact, Emma Kenel was born to her delighted parents, Tori and Dan Kenel. She joined big sister Morgan, now 21. Her grandparents that include Linda Parrish, David and Holly Snyder, and Debbie and Daniel Kenel were also thrilled with this new addition to the family.
When it was time for kindergarten, Emma joined the Class of 2025. On graduation day, she will finish the journey with many of those same kids.
Emma participates in the performing arts at school that include the plays, musicals, and speech. Her activities in her spare time include pet reptiles, reading, being with friends, sewing, embroidery, and antiquing.
Her most special experience was traveling to Portugal with Mylee Miller. Embarrassing moment was when she and Mylee burst out laughing in a quiet room.
When Emma was asked what was special about her class, for her it is that they’ve been together so long. Her advice to the underclassmen is “to not be mean to others just because they differ from your norms.”
When asked to pick a special person in her life, she picked Mylee Miller. Of her, Emma says, ”Mylee has been my best friend for seven years. I can’t imagine my life without her.”
This year Emma has enjoyed working as a special needs associate at Clark, and she is looking forward to graduation.
This busy young lady plans to keep working as a special needs associate at Clark, while she begins work to get her level 3 special needs elementary teaching degree.
Tiger Nation wishes her all the best as she leaves NLHS, and will be rooting for her as she works on her teaching degree.
