After all the awards are noted, Jennifer Campbell presents the student council gifts to all the seniors. As she called the names, each student came forward and a shortened version of their senior spotlight is read. As with every event scheduled in the spring, conflicts occur. The class was missing members who were off competing in state tournaments. Their honors and spotlight were shared with the audience as if they were present.
Gina Anderson of the New London Journal writes the Spotlight. It is published in the Journal during the last weeks of school. Back copies of the spotlight can be obtained at the Mount Pleasant office if desired. Every Spotlight contains the name or names of family and friends who helped them throughout their school years. Top honors go to these moms, dads and grandparents who are most frequently named. Thank you for producing this fine class. They will be sorely missed. The school wishes them a bright future and success in all their ventures.
