Senior Spotlight: Lynnae Huston
By Gina Anderson
May. 15, 2024 6:37 pm
Lynnae was born to Ashley Huston on May 17, 2006. Her grandparents are Teresa and David Dameron and Brad and Ginger Huston. She is big sister to Lincoln Huston.
Lynne has been a Class of 2024 member for five years. During that time she participated in volleyball. When she is not busy with school, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends.
A member of the 2023 Homecoming Court, she is most proud of graduating with her AA degree. Lynnae’s special moment was figuring out what she wanted to do and having all of her teachers pushing her to reach her goals.
She recounts her most embarrassing moment, “My friends made me laugh so hard that I tinkled myself at a basketball game.”
Lynnae singled out her mom, Ashley Huston, for special recognition. Of her, she says, “She is very independent and strong. I have gotten all of my accomplishments through growing up watching her become stronger and more successful everyday.”
When asked what’s special about her class, Lynnae points out that they are all motivated and determined and she believes that will take them far in life. Her advice to the underclassmen is so true. “Everyone tells you that high school flies by…I’ve heard it myself many times. You should believe them and stay in the moment as much as possible. Time goes by so fast even if the school days seem long. You’ll look back senior year thinking that freshman year was a month ago.”
Lynnae is looking forward to graduation and starting a new chapter in her life. She will start the nursing program this summer at SCC. She plans to get her BSN then go to medical school to become a psychiatrist.
Tiger Nation wishes Lynnae the best as she sets her sights on a medical career.
