Makynna, nicknamed Mak, was born on a warm summer day, June 15, 2007. Her parents are Shanae and Adam Condreay. She was the oldest of six that included Xander and Skyler Carpenter, Mylez and Max Richardson, and Bentyn Condreay.
Her grandparents are Becky and Terry Waddell, Kurt and Michelle Krabill, and David and Valerie Carpenter.
Mak has been part of the Class of 2025 since preschool. At school, she has been a member of the student council, 4-H, and the Danville FFA. When not busy at school, one will find her showing cattle, rabbits, poultry, and horses. Makynna also breeds, raises, and sells rabbits. Oh yes, she also finds time to enjoy barrel racing.
She was honored in 2024 to receive the Brownfield Iowa Ag Youth Award sponsored by KILJ and the Greenhand and chapter degree in FFA. She also received a 100+ hours volunteer award from Old Threshers.
Winning the Brownfield award was her most special memory. She says, “It was special to me because the award is typically given to seniors and I received it as a junior.”
Life has its embarrassing moments too. The most embarrassing was when she was sitting in Spanish class her freshmen year. While leaning back in her seat, she tipped over and fell straight backwards.
When asked about what makes her class special, she thinks that it’s their ability to put their differences aside and come together when needed. Makynna’s advice to the underclassmen is to try new things out of their comfort zone.
For her special person, she picked her grandma Becky Waddell. She says, “My grandma has been there for me since day one. She supports me in everything I do and helps me succeed in whatever I put my mind to. She has been by my side no matter what from helping with my cattle before the show to being someone who I can rant to. Without her, I truly would not be the person I am today because she has pushed me out my comfort zone.”
She also picked her mom too. She is always there for Makynna and helps her whenever she needs it. She is also very supportive and will do whatever it takes to help her succeed.
Makynna was looking forward to prom which was April 5, and now she can’t wait to graduate. Her plans are to finish her certification in equine bodywork, then go on to farrier school.
Tiger Nation is proud of all that Makynna has accomplished. Here’s to her bright future!!!
