Sydney Lipper’s parents had much to be thankful for on Nov. 22, 2005. Jennifer and Robert Lipper welcomed their youngest child to the family. Sydney joined siblings Brenna Sue and Scott Henry Rose, Kayla Nicole and Brandon Dean Lipper, and Grandma Marylin Harris.
Nicknamed Syd, she has been a member of the Class of 2024 since third grade. When not busy with schoolwork, Syd kept very busy. Throughout high school, she was involved in the performing arts that included the plays and speech. She also participated in track and trapshooting. Some of her favorite activities include fishing and being outside.
She was honored to be high overall in trapshooting. Her proudest accomplishment was at 16, when she finally had enough of her own money to buy her first vehicle. Her most embarrassing moment was getting pulled over in Keokuk while bawling her eyes out to one of her friends.
The person Sydney picked for special recognition was her grandmother, Marylin Sue Harris. Syd says of her, “No matter how she felt, she always made sure she would see how my day was going and always tried to make me laugh.”
When asked what makes her class special, Syd points out that they mostly get along. Her advice to the underclassmen is “don’t be stupid, you only have so much time in high school.”
As she looks forward to graduation, Sydney’s future plans include entering the workforce. Tiger Nation wishes her the best as she leaves NLHS.
