Tysann Jenneane Gipple arrived on May 15, 2006 to Darrick and Tasha Gipple. She joined big brother Tanner, now 28. Her grandparents, Daryl and Debbie Gipple and Mike and Debbie Richart, happily welcomed their new granddaughter.
She is an original member of the Class of 2024. In high school, Tysann has been a member of both student council and the National Honor Society. She participated in volleyball and track and received SEISC South Division Honorable Mention for volleyball. She had 500+ career kills and was 7th in the state for solo blocks. She was also a volleyball state qualifier. Tysann is an honor roll student and she was on the 2023 Homecoming Court. She will wear a red cord at graduation to signify her participation in the blood drives.
In her spare time, you’ll find Tysann cooking, playing volleyball, or going to the gym.
Her most special high school memory was taking two and almost three sets from Springville in the game to go to State her junior year. Tysann says of that experience, “I have never been on such an emotional rollercoaster nor have I seen a team work together as well as we did that night. Being that close to a win against the number one ranked team in the state is an accomplishment I will never forget.”
Her most disappointing moment was when she made the state qualifying list for high jump, but then received a phone call later the same day and was informed that they had made a mistake and she had missed the cut due to alphabetical order.
Tysann picked her parents as the people she’d like to recognize. They helped her through all the tough situations she shouldn’t have had to deal with in high school. They also supported her big dreams without any questions asked.
When asked what made her class special, she points out that what they lack in numbers, they make up with their personalities.
Tysann’s advice to the underclassmen … don’t be a people pleaser.
She is really looking forward to furthering her education and playing volleyball at SCC next year. She plans to get an Associates degree in business.
Tiger Nation hates to see Tysann go, but knows she will make New London proud!
