Summer Sports Round Up

The summer sports seem to be over in flash. Having several games a week is the reason, but the baseball and softball players must feel it’s over too quickly for their liking.
The New London softball team joined with Winfield-Mt. Union’s team, and they had a season learning to play together while having fun too. The boys had a really good season with many impressive wins. The seniors are sure going to be missed on both teams.
The SEISC all-conference picks are out. They include the following:
- Head coach Jayden Flowers — Conference Co-Coach of the Year
Softball All-Conference Honorees:
- Morgan Jones — 1st Team Outfield
- Kylea Schwenker — 2nd Team Pitcher
- Lillie Gallup — Honorable Mention
- Olivia Hester — Honorable Mention
Baseball All-Conference Honorees:
- Tate Welcher — 1st Team Catcher
- Gavin Strawhacker — 1st Team Infield
- Memphis Watson — 1st Team Outfield
- Gavin Menke-Bailey — 1st Team Utility
- Sully Barron — 2nd Team Infield
- Gage Burden — 2nd Team Outfield
- Kye Reighard — Honorable Mention
- Cale Westerbeck — Honorable Mention
