Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive

Each year, the New London Community School District works very hard filling Thanksgiving baskets. These baskets contain everything needed to provide a hearty Thanksgiving meal for a family. Last year, fifty baskets were delivered.

Everyone helps out. Students are currently helping with a food drive. Soon, the FCS classes will bake pies and roast turkeys. The turkeys are deboned by district teachers and staff. The meat is frozen ready to heat up and eat on Thanksgiving Day. The hard work will bring joy to our New London families in need.

Collection points are Clark Elementary, the MS/HS office and the Public Library. Items requested are French Fried Onions, Cans of Evaporated Milk, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Chips, Canned Pumpkin, Jarred Turkey Gravy, Canned Jellied Cranberry Sauce, Green Beans, Stove Top Stuffing Mix, Cookies, Canned Sweet Potatoes and Monetary Donations. Monetary donations will be used for turkey and ham.
