The NLHS National Honor Society Induction

On March 20, 2024 the New London High School Tim Meagher Chapter of the National Honor Society held its Induction Ceremony.

The requirements are a minimum GPA of 3.00 for students to be invited to apply beginning in their sophomore year. The areas evaluated include scholarship, service, leadership, and character. They are evaluated by a group of NHS advisers and teachers. Students are invited to join if they excel in these four areas.

The group does various projects throughout the year.

The guest speaker this year was Dr. James Oudenhoven. After the speaker, the Senior members of NHS were introduced. They include Reid Bell, Josiah Denney, Coen Fitzpatrick, Tysann Gipple, and Lanie Szewczyk. The new members are Coen Fitzpatrick, Jayden Bergman, Megan Lee, Zoe Long, and Lily Syfert.

The new officers for 2024-2025 were introduced and installed: President Jayden Bergman; Vice President Mylee Miller; Secretary Morgan Jones; and Treasurer Zoe Long.

After the ceremony, refreshments were served.
