The Tigers faced their perennial rival, the Holy Trinity Crusaders. These two teams bring out the best in each other, and this night it would be HTC that was victorious. With the loss of some key seniors, the Tigers worked to find their game.
After a shaky first game loss, 25-9, the Tigers found their equilibrium and played HTC much closer, 25-21 and 25-19. While losing all three games, the Tigers had their moments of excellent play. Service errors hurt as they went 38-48.
Senior Sophie Malott led the Tiger attack with seven kills, 10 digs, and was 8-of-11 serving with four aces. Tysann Gipple had five kills, one block, nine digs, and was 5-of-8 serving. Katelyn Allen had 15 assists, Morgan Jones had 16 digs, and Lillie Gallup was 8-of-9 serving.
Both schools enjoyed a supportive student section that is always loud and proud.
