The utility trustees held a regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 with all trustees present. They approved the agenda and no one addressed the trustees in open forum.
In reports, Chairman Heater commented on the wind turbine production report (VENSYS) and how it should be on track to produce 5,000,000 kWh this tear. Heater also thanked the employees for their repair and maintenance that keeps it running so consistently.
The Trustees then discussed water and electric funds. They noted the surplus of money in the water fund. They are considering investing it in CDs or paying toward the balance of their water loans. They will take action on the item at their Nov. meeting.
The trustees then discussed the balance of the electric fund. With the new fiscal year beginning and purchases they have made, the trustees will continue to monitor the electric fund and expenses as the fiscal year continues.
Utility foreman Dave Ford reported on the work completed this month. The trustees commented on the many new homes being built in Dover Circle, Sunset Drive, and Redbud Lane which will generate many new customers for utilities.
They approved the consent agenda. The meeting was adjourned at 1:15 p.m. The next regular utility board meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the City office.
