The week of Tiger volleyball

Tiger volleyball was on Thursday, September 5 at WACO HS, with a varsity quad. First up for the Tigers were the Fairfield Trojans. New London lost 25-13 and 25-11.
Shaylee Brothersen served 100% with two aces. Kayla Strawhacker served 100% with one ace. She also had one kill. Morgan Jones also served 100% and had two kills. Kennedy Herrick also added two kills.
On defense, Jones had nine digs, Lillie Gallup had seven, and Maison Nelson added four.
The Tigers next opponent was Cardinal. The Tigers won 25-9 and 25-22. As a team, New London had nine kills with Brothersen providing three. She also was perfect serving with one ace. Jones dominated with seven aces on 11/12 serving, Gallup added four aces, and Maison Nelson had three.
On defense, Gallup had eight digs, Nelson had five, and Jones, Strawhacker, and Hailee Dudley each added three.
The last opponent was WACO. The Tigers took one game 25-21, and WACO took two 18-25 and 10-15. Brothersen and Jones served 100% with Jones going 6/7 with two aces. Gallup was 8/9 with two aces. Marlianna Woodsmall was 11/13 with seven aces. Nelson added 15 assists and one kill. Brothersen and Jones each added six kills.
On defense, Jones had 11 digs, Gallup - 6, Brothersen - 5, and Strawhacker - 4. Herrick and Nelson each had a block.
On September 7, the Tigers played in the Notre Dame tournament. West Burlington won the tournament. New London was 0-3 on the day. Keep workin’ hard ladies!
