The Tigers traveled to Winfield to take on the Wolves. The opening score by W-MU did not bode well for the Tigers. The final score was W-MU 68 to NL 32.
QB Gavin Menke-Bailey was 4/14 passing with two interceptions and two TDs for 127 yards.
Cale Westerbeck carried the ball seven times for 26-yards and one TD; Menke-Bailey had 12 carries for 68-yards and one TD, Franklin had five carries for 43-yards, and Brigham Porter carried the ball three times for 49-yards and one TD.
Menke-Bailey and Nic Loyd led the defense with 5.5 tackles each, Franklin added five, Westerbeck - 4.5, Porter - 4; and Riley Raines and Cole Swanson each added three.
The boys never gave up and stayed determined.
The Tigers play Iowa Valley on Friday, September 13 (we hope it will be lucky!). The game has a start time of 7:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
