Tiger Football Team Gets Homecoming Victory!

New London marked a win over HLV in its homecoming football game Friday night, finishing with a 54-38 score.
Gavin Menke-Baily, after being crowned Homecoming king, completed 10 of 14 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. London Franklin was 1/3 passing for seven yards. London Franklin and Israel Lemley had four receptions. Franklin gained 104 yards and one TD. Logan Franklin had two receptions for 45 yards and a TD.
London Franklin carried the ball 26 times for 128 yards and four TDs. Menke-Bailey had 13 carries for 73 yards. Brigham Porter had two carries for eight yards and one TD.
Menke-Bailey led the defense with five solo tackles. Corbin Jacobs-Jewell had four solo tackles. Carter Adams and Logan Franklin added three each. Cale Westerbeck, London Franklin, Brigham Porter, and Nic Loyd each had two.
Westerbeck pulled in an interception and Logan Franklin had two for 67 yards. London Franklin returned a kick for 62 yards and a TD. He and Lemley each had a two-point conversion.
Tied at the half at 20-20, the Tigers owned the second half scoring 24 points to HLV’s 18.
It was a good win for the Tigers, and winning the game was a special Homecoming highlight!
