Tiger Girls Get Their First Win

The Tigers hosted a tough Mediapolis team on Dec. 11. The Bulldogs took charge from the first quarter and never looked back. They scored 52 points to the Tigers’ 14 in the first half and had 35 to the Tigers’ eight in the second half. The final score was 87 to 19.
The Tigers were led by Mylee Miller with 12 points, nine rebounds, and a block. Others scoring were Morgan Jones with four, Megan Lee with two, and Sophie Malott added one.
On Dec. 15, the Tigers hosted the West Burlington Falcons. At the half the Tigers were in it, trailing 21 to 25. At the end of the third, it was West Burlington 35 to 32. The Tigers put together a good 4th quarter, scoring 18 points to the Falcons’ 13 for the 50 to 48 win.
The Tiger faithful jumped to their feet roaring their approval. It was a great moment for the girls as smiles were shared all around.
Mylee Miller once again led the Tigers. From her post position, she poured in 17 points. She added to that seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Olivia Hester and Sophie Malott each had 10 points. Sophie added three rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Morgan Jones scored nine points to go along with 11 rebounds. Brooklyn Curry and Megan Lee rounded out the scoring with two each.
