Tiger Softball and Baseball Update

On June 4, the Central Lee Hawks came to town to take on the Tigers. The Lady Tigers had a hard night, losing 19-0 in three innings.
The boys fared better, winning 11-9. The Tigers did their damage in three innings. Brendan Richey hit two singles and had one RBI. Gavin Menke-Bailey hit a double. Memphis Watson hit a triple and had an RBI. Michael Raines had a single and two RBIs. Tate Welcher hit a single and had an RBI. Sully Barron also hit a single and Riley Raines had an RBI. The Tigers utilized three pitchers with Watson getting the win.
On June 5, the Tigers traveled to Wapello. It was another tough night for the softball team. They lost 13-0.
On June 7, both teams traveled to Danville. The girls won 9-5, a much coveted victory.
It was quite a night for the Tiger teams, as the boys triumphed 12-4. Gavin Menke-Bailey had a successful evening as he went 3 for 4 batting, hitting two doubles and a home run. He also had three RBIs. Tate Welcher had a single and a double and an RBI.
Others getting a hit were Brendan Richey, Michael Raines, Sully Barron, and Cale Westerbeck.
Fielding, the Tigers had only one error as a team. The winning pitcher was Memphis Watson.
