Tiger Sports Round Up

Varsity Girls Basketball

The girls played Cardinal on Feb. 2 and had a good outing scoring 24 points. They didn’t win (54-24) but had a better scoring game.

On this night, Megan Lee scored 22 of the 24 team points. The other contributor was Katelyn Allen with two.

As a team, the Tigers had 21 rebounds and 9 steals.

On Feb. 3, the Tigers played Holy Trinity, a makeup game from Jan. 27. The Tigers lost 36 to 15. No individual stats were available.

On Feb. 5, the team took on Hillcrest Academy. The final score was Tigers-34 and Hillcrest 54. No individual stats were available.

Varsity Boys Basketball

On Feb. 2, the teams made the long trek to Cardinal. For the boys it would be a win. They put up an impressive 78 points to Cardinal’s 44. The leading scorer was London Franklin with 21. Brigham Porter had 18 and Israel Lemley had 17. Kye Reighard put up seven and Riley Raines had four.

Feb. 6 was another spectacular night for the Tigers. The team fell behind early and was mistake prone in the first half. But they rallied after a stern, thought-provoking speech from their coach and went out and put on an impressive rally to win 71-54. They are now 5 — 16.

For our wrestlers, districts are this weekend in Lisbon.
