Varsity Girls Basketball

On Feb. 12, the Lady Tigers played the Lone Tree Lions. The final score was Lone Tree 50 to 8. The Tigers’ season was over. Those girls played hard and never gave up. They represented New London in a fine way, always with a smile. It’s not a victory of points, but one of character. They have plenty of that!

Varsity Boys Basketball

The Tigers played Highland on Friday, Feb. 13th to see who would face Notre Dame in the tournament’s play-in round. They were winners by 20 points, 54 to 34. Brigham Porter was the leading scorer with 12 points. He added three rebounds and a steal. Israel Lemley and Kye Reighard each added 11 points. Reighard paired that with 15 rebounds for a double-double. It earned him KILJ’s Player of the Game. Gavin Strawhacker had eight points and seven rebounds. London Franklin added seven points.

The Tigers played with determination and looked really good as they powered their way to a victory. Way to go fellas!
